Stanley Cup Final tickets the most expensive Oilers games on record (2024)

Rogers Place is getting ready to roll out the red carpet for the Stanley Cup Final.

But maybe gold would be a more fitting colour, as far as ticket prices go.

Considering the Edmonton Oilers are averaging 17 years in between their most recent fourth-round appearances, it’s no wonder getting a seat in the building is going to be a hot ticket.

In fact, prices are expected to reach record highs for Game 3 on June 13, Game 4 on June 15 and, potentially Game 6 on June 21, should it be necessary in the best-of-seven series, which gets underway in Florida on Saturday.

According to TickPick, Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final is the most expensive Oilers game on record, with an average purchase price of $1,106 US.

That’s 71 per cent more expensive than Game 1 of the series ($646) and 72 per cent more than Game 2 ($642).

The second most expensive Oilers game on record is Game 3 of this year’s Stanley Cup Final, which has an average purchase price of $872.

Up until this year’s playoffs, the most expensive Oilers ticket on record averaged $423, when they faced the San Jose Sharks in the 2017 Western Conference quarter-finals. That series officially marked the end of the Decade of Darkness, which began immediately after their last Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2006.

And Game 4 coming up is 161 per cent more expensive.

It will be a short-lived record, however, should the series get past Game 5 and return for one final showdown at Rogers Place. Game 6 would be sure to eclipse them all.

The current get-in price for Game 4 is a whopping $1,068, 91 per cent more expensive than Game 1 in Florida ($577). The get-in price for Game 3 is $714.
